Chobani debuted a new, limited-edition coffee creamer that has been so hard to find in stores, but I finally got my hands on a bottle. If you love the sweet, caramelized sugar flavor and warm spices of speculaas cookies, you will swoon for this creamer in your morning coffee. I was lucky enough to snag one of the coveted Chobani cookie butter creamers while on a Target run. But it was only after asking a friendly employee to check the back since the refrigerator case had already been wiped out!

What is the Chobani cookie butter creamer?

I am already a huge fan of the Chobani line of coffee creamers because it uses real ingredients and, to me, the flavor profiles taste more authentic than other brands. When I heard that the latest limited-edition flavor had gone viral, it wasn’t a surprise. Upon the first sip in my morning coffee, I knew it was a winner.

The creamer tasted just like the iconic speculaas (also called speculoos) cookies and other cookie butter products that are already a staple in my pantry. The only problem is, I have no idea if or when I will be able to buy another bottle. Since this is a limited-time drop from Chobani, I wanted to make sure I could enjoy this flavor year round. So I made a copycat version of the creamer!

How did the copycat compare?

This copycat recipe was delightfully close to the original. What I like about making this homemade coffee creamer version is that you can cater the level of sweetness to suit your own palate. Feel free to adjust the amount of sweetened condensed milk or brown sugar in this recipe so it is just right for your taste buds. As a bonus, this copycat Chobani cookie butter creamer can be made using any sort of milk or milk alternative as the base. I like half-and-half in my coffee, so that’s what I used. However, you can lighten it up by using skim milk, or make it dairy-free with something creamy like oat or almond milk.
