Yes, it includes two drinks.
Florence Pugh’s Favorite Breakfast Is a Kick-Start of Caffeine
Florence Pugh is one of my absolute favorite actors to watch in anything. Which is easy to do, because she’s been in, well, pretty much everything. From indie horror flick Midsommar to Academy Award-winning drama Oppenheimer and Marvel’s Thunderbolts, she’s been keeping busy. Not to mention that she’s also found time to costar with Timothée Chalamet in two movies: Dune: Part II and Little Women (for which she received an Academy Award nomination). Talk about range!
In addition to her impressive acting career, she also seems like a good hang. She’s a big fan of mixing up fun cocktails and cooking meals. During lockdown in 2020, she started a little series called “Cooking with Flo” in which she tried out different recipes. A notable fave is when she made orange marmalade for the first time.
So considering that she’s extremely busy and a huge foodie, I had to wonder: What is Florence Pugh’s favorite breakfast? Her go-to meal is simple, but somewhat puzzlingly includes two drinks—I’ll explain.
What is Florence Pugh’s favorite breakfast?
The English actor loves to start her day with a cup of tea, naturally. “I can’t have anything before I have my tea,” she says in a video for Harper’s Bazaar. “I have a Yorkshire tea with oat milk and I tend to leave the bag in … and then I put the milk in.” She says that letting the teabag steep with the oat milk gives it more body. “It gives a nice thickness to it—like a bit of a stew.”
After she drinks her tea stew, she moves on to the food. She loves a medium boiled egg. “Like four and a half, five minutes,” she explains in the video. “I want it to be a little bit gooey, not too gooey, and not any runny whites.” She makes a gagging sound when she says “runny whites,” at which I’m like, same, Florence. She also clarifies that she likes eating the eggs with a little salt, but not anything else.
After eggs, she has her second breakfast drink: a cup of coffee. She likes to have a black Americano, which she says “will sort me out for a few good hours.” I have to imagine, after all this caffeine, that she is ready to go to work. I feel like I got a bit of a caffeine boost just from writing about it!
