I hold a very special place in my heart for Noodles & Company. I used to work a job that required a lot of travel, and between appointments in cities around the country, I would usually take my lunch break at a Noodles. The possibility of ordering a hot, delicious bowl of pasta without taking too much time or spending too much money (I was on the meager company per diem, after all) was such a nice change from inhaling burgers in my car. And my favorite dish has remained the same for years: pesto cavatappi. Sure, I changed it up every now and again, but it was hard to say yes to something that wasn’t my beloved, reliable pesto pasta.
Which is why I’m really very excited about the menu change that Noodles & Company recently launched. It’s the first time that something like this has been offered in the company’s 30-year history, and it’s called Delicious Duos.
What are Noodles & Company Delicious Duos?
Basically, this is a brand-new way to order and enjoy your favorite options from the Noodles & Company menu. For Delicious Duos, you select a small entree and protein plus a side dish. So this means I can get my beloved pesto cavatappi with Parmesan-encrusted chicken and a small Caesar salad, which is literally the perfect meal combination.
If you’re familiar with the “You Pick Two” option at Panera Bread, then this is similar. However, the one big difference is the price point. Delicious Duos start at $9.95, which is arguably the most budget-friendly version of this concept. In fact, I’d go so far as to call it revolutionary, especially considering how so many restaurants are raising their prices.
This feels like a perfect lunch option for so many situations, including:
- People who only have 30 minutes for lunch: Smaller portions, but plenty of variety.
- People who have children: Your toddler wants mac n’ cheese, and your 7-year-old wants chicken noodle soup.
- People who are indecisive: Calling all Libras! (I’m a Libra; this is my dream come true.)
- People who workout: A perfectly balanced meal full of protein and fiber so you can fuel up and/or replenish.
- People who love making anything a tasting experience: If you go with someone else, you can try four menu items.
