It's all the PB&J flavor you love with a protein boost.
Uncrustables Just Launched a New Product, and It’s Not Just for Kids
Do you ever get exhausted just thinking about your old school routine? I do all the time. It’s kind of mind-blowing how I was doing activities before and after a full day of classes. But somehow I made it through those 15 hour days as a teen—and, now, I fear I’ve gone soft. I work remotely from my home office every day, where a variety of beverages and an entire snack shelf is available to me. I don’t even have to pack a lunch anymore, I can just mosey on down to the kitchen and whip something up.
When I heard that Smucker’s was releasing protein Uncrustables, it made me nostalgic for high school. If I had a few of these bad boys in my lunchbox, maybe I wouldn’t have felt so drained by the time I got to dance rehearsal!
What are the new protein Uncrustables?

The iconic frozen, crustless sandwich caused quite a stir when they launched nationwide back in 2000. A lot of people thought they were unnecessary, but you wouldn’t have counted me among them. This was a huge win for me and anyone else who loved peanut butter and jelly sandwiches but hated how the jelly oozed out when you ate them. And of course: no crust!
This launch includes two brand-new flavors: Up & Apple (peanut butter and apple cinnamon jelly) and Bright Eyed Berry (peanut butter and strawberry jelly). The new sandwiches contain 12 grams of protein plus more fiber and whole grains than the other varieties. Smucker’s seems to have really capitalized on the high-protein and high-fiber food trends we’re seeing on social media channels lately.
Like the original Uncrustables, the protein Uncrustables are ready-to-eat straight from the freezer. Considering that I am a zombie most mornings, I like the ease of this breakfast. I think it will also make a great addition to the lunches of busy school-aged children everywhere.
When will the new protein Uncrustables be available?
The great news is that they’re available now! You can buy them at Kroger, Target and Walmart locations nationwide. A box of eight retails for about $10, so it’s a great deal for some high-protein snacks. Time to stock up before the gym bros get to them!
