Food writer and photographer Stephanie Gravalese is passionate about sustainable eating, food preservation, foraging, seasonal recipes and studying how food shapes culture. She has earned several culinary certificates that inform her content, including a certificate in recipe writing from Le Cordon Bleu and another in herbalism from the Herbal Academy. In addition to her freelance writing and food photography, she founded and produces content for the blog "Slow Living Kitchen" and hosts "Food Stories Told."
Before Stephanie began freelancing, she was a district aide in the Massachusetts House of Representatives, where she supported farmers, food producers and constituents by connecting them to resources and services. She also worked as a supermarket manager, which gave her firsthand knowledge of consumer needs and a 360-degree understanding of how food products go from an idea to being on grocery shelves.
