We walked the grounds and we took in the atmosphere here at MWC 2026. Robots, AI hype, and a lot of promises about the future.
But what about the smartphones and the physical things that we can touch, use, and actually buy right now? Well, here are all the new things at MWC that made us from PhoneArena go "Hold up a minute" and had us spend some extra time at their booth. In no particular order:
Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold

Legends say we may get to see this in stores one day. But, for the time being, the Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold is only available in select eastern markets.
It's like a Galaxy Z Fold 7 with added width. Expanding it fully gets you a 10-inch screen with a 4:3 aspect ratio, making it much more comparable to a tablet. While it's still not ideal for 16:9 multimedia binging, it feels a lot more like a desktop-like screen.
And Samsung knows this — the Galaxy TriFold can work in DeX mode autonomously. Bring along a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse and you are pretty much set for the digital nomad lifestyle.

Recommended For You
Recently announced but yet to hit store shelves, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is already up for pre-order and has fans at the edge of their seats. Armed with an innovative Privacy Display and powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy, updated thermal management, and upgrades to its camera lenses, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is set to hit the ground running this month. We are looking forward to diving deeper with all of those new features.
Samsung Galaxy XR

The Galaxy XR has been teased and shown off for two years now. In late 2025, it finally launched in the States for $1799.99. But most users in Europe have still not had the chance to touch one.
It was available to demo at the floor of MWC 2026 and, of course, we dove in — who wouldn't?
The controls of the Galaxy XR are not quite Apple Vision Pro-like. You have to outstretch your hand and use it as a pointer to "pinch" the interface where you want to interact. As such, we think it's a bit less accurate.
However, the image quality is quite impressive. It had better be, too, for the price.
Huawei MatePad Mini

One would be wrong to pass the Huawei MatePad Mini lightly. It's a tablet that's about the size of an iPad mini, but has slimmer bezels, which allows for a bigger 6.8-inch screen. It's also very light and thin — a true pleasure to hold.
The MatePad Mini comes with a matte glass screen, which is a bold move by Huawei. Some love the paper-like feel as it's more intuitive when scribbling with a stylus over it, and feels better for touch controls. Plus, it doesn't show finger smudges or light glare as much. Others say that the screen loses sharpness and vividness this way.
Still, we found the grain to be extra-fine, and couldn't detect visual distortions in the picture. All the while, the MatePad Mini felt great to operate.
Huawei Mate 80 Pro Max

As the name suggests, this is the top-dog phone from Huawei right now. Featuring a dual-layered OLED screen, the newest Kirin 9030 processor, 512 GB or 1 TB of storage, and 16 GB of RAM. Plus an elaborate camera system, of course, with a main (50MP), ultra-wide (40MP), and two separate zoom cameras (50MP each).
While the name may sound derivative, the design is nothing of the sort, as it has its own bold style with huge circular accents.
Honor Magic V6

The Honor Magic V6 may not be the thinnest foldable around (the jury is still out), but it might be the most feature-packed one. With a crazy 6660 mAh silicon-carbon battery, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and a ton of state-of-the-art convenience features like ultra-high-frequency-dimming, Honor's approach is more ambitious than ever.
It's expected to launch globally in the second half of the year, but we're already pretty stoked about it. And, by the way, what a looker!
RedMagic 11 Pro

ZTE's RedMagic gaming brand continues to crank out insane products. The thing is, they don't just look cool or gamer-y, but also deliver very competent performance across the board. RedMagic's current design language is, frankly speaking, insane. But in an I-want-this kind of way. Want to hear something even crazier? The RedMagic 11 Pro has liquid cooling. You heard that right.

Huawei's new wearable, the Watch GT Runner 2 is (surprise, surprise) meant for hardcore runners. It's equipped with a special "3D floating GPS antenna" designed to keep a super-precise signal at all times, including in city areas with high buildings.
One of the GT Runner 2's unique features is the special AirDry strap that's designed to vent out heat efficiently during long workouts. On top of that, it's extremely light and comfortable, yet secure enough to allow for accurate measurements – a key feature for serious athletes.
Vivo X300 Ultra with Smallrig kit

Vivo is pretty much hard-set on making the best camera phones out there. And the X300 Pro already makes some breathtaking photos possible. So, what's next?
Video!
The Vivo X300 Ultra not only comes with upgraded pro app features to make pro video and editing possible. They also partnered with Smallrig to make a full stand for the upcoming mega-flagship. The best news is that the Vivo X300 Ultra will not be China-exclusive and there won't be a delay. It'll launch in select global markets. Price? Later...
