Aperol Spritz Cranberry Sauce

In our Aperol spritz cranberry sauce recipe, the classic Thanksgiving sauce gets a serious upgrade thanks to the components from the latest trendy cocktail.

Ingredients

  • 1 package (12 ounces) fresh or frozen cranberries
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons Aperol
  • 2 teaspoons grated orange zest

Directions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine the cranberries, orange juice, dried cranberries and sugar. Cook over medium heat until the berries pop, about 15 minutes.
  2. Remove from the heat; stir in the Aperol and orange zest. Transfer to a small bowl; refrigerate until chilled. If desired, top with additional orange zest just before serving.
