Asparagus with Horseradish Dip

Asparagus with horseradish dip makes a simple anytime snack or an elegant appetizer for parties and holiday gatherings. It features crisp-tender steamed asparagus spears paired with a zesty, creamy dip that can be prepped fresh in minutes or made ahead to save time.

Ingredients

  • 32 fresh asparagus spears (about 2 pounds), trimmed
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon prepared horseradish
  • 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon grated lemon zest
  • Lemon wedges, optional

Directions

  1. Place asparagus in a steamer basket; place in a large saucepan over 1 in. of water. Bring to a boil; cover and steam until crisp-tender, 2-4 minutes. Drain and immediately place in ice water. Drain and pat dry.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the remaining ingredients. Serve dip and if desired, lemon wedges with asparagus.
