Ingredients

  • 12 ounces semisweet chocolate
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 cup baking cocoa
  • 1/2 cup sliced almonds, toasted
  • 2 strips red fruit leather

Directions

  1. Place chocolate in a large bowl. In a small saucepan, bring cream just to a boil. Pour over chocolate; let stand 2 minutes. Stir with a whisk until smooth. Cool to room temperature, stirring occasionally. Refrigerate, covered, until firm.
  2. Scoop or shape by tablespoonfuls into teardrop shapes. Roll in baking cocoa, toss to coat completely. Place two toasted almonds near the thinner end for ears. Cut fruit leather into thin slices, place one piece for the tail at the thicker end. Refrigerate until serving.
