I found a recipe in one of my cookbooks, which I've had for quite some time, and tweaked it to make these cracker-like crisps. They go well with any dip or spread. —Dawn Lowenstein, Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania
Ingredients
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup butter, cubed
- 1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon dried minced onion
- 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1-1/2 cups Rice Krispies
- 1/3 cup half-and-half cream
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°. In a food processor, pulse butter and cheese together until finely chopped. Add flour, minced onion, seasoned salt, Italian seasoning and garlic powder; pulse until well combined.
- Transfer to a large bowl, stir in cereal. Add half-and-half until dough comes together. Scoop or roll into 1-in. balls; flatten slightly.
- Bake on parchment-lined baking sheets, until golden brown, 15-20 minutes. Cool completely on wire racks.
