A few years ago, we hit the olive bar at our local grocery store and were amazed with the grilled olives. I never thought to grill olives before! Use whatever herbs you prefer. You could also use black olives or a combination of green and black. —Debra Keil, Owasso, Oklahoma

Grilled Herbed Olives

Ingredients

  • 1 can (6 ounces) pitted green olives, drained
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 3/4 teaspoon each minced fresh marjoram, rosemary and thyme
  • Optional: Sea salt and coarsely ground pepper

Directions

  1. In a small bowl, combine olives, oil and herbs. Let stand for 15 minutes.
  2. Transfer olives to a grill wok or open grill basket; place on grill rack. Grill, uncovered, over medium-high heat until lightly charred, 8-10 minutes, stirring frequently. If desired, sprinkle with salt and pepper. Serve warm or at room temperature.
