Scalloped Cranberries

Ingredients

  • 4 cups fresh or frozen cranberries (about 1 pound)
  • 1-1/4 cups sugar
  • 1-1/4 cups water
  • 4-1/2 cups cubed bread (about 5 slices)
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1/3 cup butter, melted
  • 2 teaspoons grated lemon zest

Directions

  1. In a large saucepan, combine the cranberries, sugar and water. Cook over medium heat for 12-15 minutes or until berries pop. Remove from the heat; stir in the remaining ingredients.
  2. Transfer to a greased 1-1/2-qt. baking dish. Bake, uncovered, at 350° for 25-30 minutes or until heated through.
