A friend served this at a party years ago and I modified the recipe. Apple, peach and apricot preserves make these meatballs sweet and fruity. The addition of Sriracha chili sauce and red pepper flakes adds a spicy heat that makes them irresistible. —Joan Hallford, North Richland Hills, Texas

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/2 cup apple jelly
  • 1/2 cup peach preserves
  • 1/2 cup apricot preserves
  • 2 to 4 tablespoons Sriracha chili sauce
  • 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 package (26 ounces) frozen fully cooked Italian meatballs

Directions

  1. In a 4-qt. slow cooker, combine the first 6 ingredients. Stir in meatballs. Cover and cook on low 3-4 hours or until heated through, stirring halfway.
