Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 2-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 to 3 teaspoons grated orange zest
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Pinch ground nutmeg
  • Pinch ground cloves
  • 1 package (12 ounces) white baking chips

Directions

  1. In a bowl, cream butter and sugars; beat in egg. Combine flour, orange zest, cinnamon, baking soda, salt, nutmeg and cloves; add to creamed mixture. Stir in chips. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 350° for 12-14 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool on wire racks.
