Asus VivoWatch offers 10 days of battery life, plus fitness-oriented features
Asus today unveiled a new smartwatch which, interestingly, isn't part of the Zen family (like the ZenWatch that was launched last year). The new wearable device is called VivoWatch, and should be available to buy sometime later this year.

Asus didn't reveal too many details about the VivoWatch, but it did say that it's a fitness-centric device that can offer 10 days of battery life. Other confirmed features include a stainless steel frame, heart rate monitor, and a suite of health-oriented apps. The screen of the VivoWatch seems to be a black and white one, while below it we can see a colored LED notification light.

The Asus VivoWatch is dust- and water- resistant (IP67 certified), and does not run Android Wear. Most probably, the VivoWatch is the non-Android Wear Asus smartwatch that we told you about back in February. That being said, Asus didn't provide more info on the software platform that the VivoWatch is based on.

At the moment, the price of the VivoWatch is not known. However, the device should cost less than the ZenWatch, which can be bought for as low as $199. We'll let you know more about the Asus VivoWatch as soon as new details are available.
