BlackBerry Curve 3G launches and T-Mobile US is first to say first

Research in Motion today unveiled the BlackBerry Curve 3G, which adds faster data speeds to the line, and will be supporting BlackBerry OS 6 down the road. The Curve 3G has RIM's renowned QWERTY keyboard, dedicated media keys and an optical trackpad, as well as a 2MP video-capable camera. Other goodies include Visual Voicemail, GPS with BlackBerry Maps, true multitasking and, of course, the ubiquitous BB Messenger.

First in line seems to be T-Mobile US, as the carrier already announced availability of the BlackBerry Curve 3G on its network in the coming weeks in “smoky violet and graphite grey”. T-Mobile's Curve 3G will come with quad-band 2G and tri-band 3G, 624Mhz processor, and battery rated at the flimsy 4.5 hours of talk time. Unfortunately, pricing is yet unknown.
