It turns out that not the tacked-on LTE bands are the culprit behind most Samsung Galaxy S4s shipping with a Snapdragon 600 chipset initially, instead of the Exynos 5 Octa, but rather the rumored mass Exynos production ramp-up issues.

To confirm that phones with its homebrew chip can actually support LTE carrier networks, Samsung took to Twitter, asserting that Exynos 5 Octa plays well with all 20 LTE bands, indicating it might be paired with a multiband radio in the GT-I9500 version of the Galaxy S4 that delivered some record benchmarks recently.
