FCC gives thumbs up to Palm Pixi with Wi-Fi heading for Verizon
Had news like this come out a few months ago, Verizon customers would have gone ballistic. The question now is if this is a matter of too little, too late. The FCC has given thumbs up to another CDMA version of the Palm Pixi, but this unit has Wi-Fi. The model, Palm's 121 EWW matches a Verizon P121 code that Engadget saw leaked previously for Big Red. With the success of the Motorola DROID turning Big Red's users on to Android, will a webOS device still capture the heart, mind, soul and most importantly, dollars from Verizon customers?
