First-generation ASUS Padfone gets update to Android 4.1.1
The first-gen model of the ASUS Padfone is not nearly the stud that the ASUS Padfone 2 is, but that doesn't mean that the device should be skipped over when it comes to time to update it. As a result, Android 4.1.1 has been sent out for the device. The update brings the usual Jelly Bean improvements like Project Butter, which makes the phone run smoothly, and Google Now which makes sure that information you need is being sent out when you need it. Additionally, actionable notifications allow you to make a call, send or receive email or text messages directly from the notifications page. You can also view photos and videos as well.

ASUS also threw some of its own stuff into the update. For example, the dictionary is improved as is the camera preview function. The Scrapbook function has been enhanced while a problem with the volume key has been repaired. And also improved is the File Manager application. Lastly, NTFS and EX FAT format SD cards are now supported.

There are two different versions of the update, Worldwide (WW_V10.2.1.9) and Chinese (V10.2.1.9CHT). You probably should be able to tell which version you require. The former comes in at 579MB while the latter is a slightly larger 622MB. Both updates can be grabbed at the sourcelink.
