The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 has arrived with a splash: the next big thing by Samsung is an evolution on familiar ideas rather than a complete overhaul, and this is especially evident in the camera department.
The Galaxy Note 7 features a 12-megapixel f/1.7 main camera with Dual Pixel technology, the same one that received praise for its mind-boggling speed in the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge. Up front, there's a 5-megapixel selfie camera with an equally wide, f/1.7 aperture.

But what about image quality? Technical specifications can't tell you much about that, so that's why we're happy to see that Samsung has provided a dozen of official Galaxy Note 7 camera samples. There's no mention whether those have been doctored in any way, but what is obvious is that they have been captured on the Note 7 shooter.
While it's way too early to give any final judgment - and it's obvious that the images definitely look very good - it seems that the one issue that was most obvious on the Galaxy S7, a very evident and unnatural oversharpening, has remained on the Galaxy Note 7. For all else, though, pictures do look beautifully colored, you can take a look at them right below.
