The pop-up ad is being displayed on both desktops and mobile devices

Interestingly, Google has exhausted its pre-order stock for most models. To us, this appears to suggest that the pop-up ad is here to stay and will probably keep rearing its head throughout the upcoming weeks leading up to the 2016 holiday shopping season.
