Google introduces Gmail mobile

Google has announced the launch of a mobile phone friendly format of its Gmail webmail service, called Gmail Mobile. The service is easy to use – just by ponting their phone's web browser to http://m.gmail.com users can get access to their Gmail account. Gmail Mobile also features:

  • Automatic optimization of the used handset
  • Attachments opening, received in messages, including photos, Microsoft Word documents and .pdf files
  • Reply by call to people whose phone numbers are in the user's Gmail Contacts list

Gmail Mobile service is free of charge, though standard carrier charges may apply.
