After making weird and not-at-all successful experiments with smartphone cameras in the past, HTC is making sure its new flagship does not skimp in this vital area. The HTC U11 arrives with a 12MP main camera that has a really large F1.7 aperture, DualPixel autofocus, 1.4μm pixels that sound rather promising for low-light performance, and optical image stabilization as a cherry on top. You read that right, there is no laser autofocus aboard as HTC has opted for the DualPixel autofocusing technology.

Hardware-aside, HTC wants to woo wanna-be smartphone photographers by throwing in Pro mode with RAW format support, HDR, a panorama mode, Hyperlapse, slo-mo video (120 fps @ 1080p), 4K video recording with 3D Audio and Acoustic Focus.

So, how does all of this compare against two of the best Android cameraphones out in the wild, the Galaxy S8 and the LG G6?
