Huawei showcases its first Android-powered smartphone
Yesterday, at the Mobile World Congress event in Barcelona, Huawei Technologies introduced its first smartphone to run Google’s open-source operating system - Android. In the press-release, Mr. James Chen, Director of Huawei Terminal Marketing Department, announced that “As a terminal solutions provider with all-round capabilities, Huawei has an acute insight into the drivers of the communications industry and in-depth understanding of operators”. During the development process of the new device, Huawei has partnered with an “established design consultancy” in order to create an advanced, yet user-friendly interface.

Unfortunately, information about the new Android-running device is too scarce, however, the manufacturer has announced that we should expect it hit the market in Q3 this year.
