LG Optimus G official Android Jelly Bean 4.1.2 update starts rolling out... in Korea
While not exactly by the end of last month as promised, LG still started rolling out the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update for its current flagship handset, the Optimus G. The update starts in LG's homeland of South Korea, of course, rolling for both the version for LG U+ (the "L" variant") and SK Telecom (the "S" variant) carriers there.

If history is any indication, chances are that it will be at least a month or two before the update hits US carriers, but if you aren't afraid of rooting and unlocking your device, you have probably already graced it with a bunch of custom JB ROMs, which the XDA-Devs thread for the Optimus G on Sprint and AT&T are brimming with anyway.

Still, official is official, and we'll have to wait and see for the first stability and improvement feedbacks to start rolling in, before someone cooks the Korean JB ROMs into something for the American masses, extracting any tasty morsels of useful software LG might have loaded in there. Hit the link below for the official JB ROM mirrors.
