Nokia HERE for Android downloaded more than 1 million times from Google Play

Nokia HERE first started its Android adventure in August, when it was made available for Samsung Galaxy smartphones. In late October, Nokia HERE reached Google Play, thus becoming available for all devices running Android 4.1 or later. Now, less than four months since its release via Google Play, Nokia HERE surpassed 1 million downloads. In fact, according to data from Google Play, the number of installs is between 1 million and 5 million, so it's possible that well above 1 million users have downloaded the application. What's more, almost 1 million users had already tried HERE for Android even before it reached Google Play.

As you probably know, HERE is one of the businesses that Nokia kept for itself after selling its Devices and Services unit to Microsoft. The HERE app provides maps and turn-by-turn navigation, its highlight being the fact that it can be used offline (you can save interactive maps for over 100 countries).
