Nokia Lumia 530 launches at T-Mobile on October 15, Cricket will have it tomorrow
Initially available only in Asia, the Nokia Lumia 530 is now ready to be launched in the US, where both T-Mobile and Cricket Wireless will sell it.

Cricket is the first to launch the handset: its customers will be able to buy the Lumia 530 starting October 3 (that’s tomorrow) for only $49.99, no contract required. T-Mobile will introduce the new smartphone a bit later: stating October 15, for $79.20.

The Lumia 530 is the successor to last year’s Lumia 520 / 521 - which became the best-selling Windows Phone handset ever. The 530 runs Windows Phone 8.1, thus coming with Cortana - Microsoft’s personal digital assistant.

Specs-wise, the Lumia 530 offers a 4-inch display with 480 x 854 pixels, HSPA+, 5 MP rear camera, quad-core 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 200 processor, 512 MB of RAM, 4 GB of expandable internal memory, and 15 GB of free OneDrive storage space.

Do you plan to buy this ultra-cheap Windows Phone 8.1 handset? Or do you think there are other smartphones that offer a better value out there? Let us know in the comments!
