Nokia raising its ratio of smartphones to 50% in the first half of 2012 with new Windows Phones
Nokia's Taiwan GM Michael Hsu reconfirmed that we are to expect a new crop of Nokia Windows Phones as soon as the first half of 2012, which doesn't really come as a surprise, of course.

Rumors about upcoming Nokia Windows Phones with LTE on AT&T and other carriers. as well as entry level handsets, have been swirling around since the announcement of the first batch. Does this mean that the Apollo update will arrive earlier than a year from now we can only guess, but it better do if Microsoft and Nokia want to keep up with the multicore and HD times.

The more interesting part of Mr Hsu's conversation was that with the flurry of new Windows Phones Nokia will aim to level the number of feature phones it sells with the number of smartphones, making it a 50/50 ratio. Quite an ambitious goal indeed, but it all depends on at what price is Nokia planning to introduce the entry level Lumia handsets, since the price now doesn't warrant them  selling in droves.
