Oppo shows first plug-in mobile camera lenses: OIS and up to 15x zoom
Oppo is a Chinese company we’ve been hearing more and more about, but this time it really shoots for the sky in smartphone photography. Oppo teased plug-in camera lenses that you can switch and attach to its smartphones. The first batch of plug-in lenses uses 16-megapixel Sony CMOS sensors with support for optical image stabilization (OIS). There are two lenses planned initially - one smaller with up to 10x zoom and a larger one supporting zoom of up to 15x.

Oppo is also saying its new flagship smartphone, the Oppo N1 will have support for NFC and expandable storage via microSD cards. The whole Oppo teaser for the plug-in lenses ends with a hashtag #Oppo N1. The Oppo N1 release date is expected to be September 23rd, so we could as well see those lenses appear then as well.

The Oppo N1 will not only try to bring a great camera, it will also have the first in a smartphone touch panel on its back.
