Processor powering Huawei Ascend Mate 2 3G is finally revealed
When Huawei unveiled the Huawei Ascend Mate 2 at CES, it didn't break out any information about the specific processor providing the horse power under the hood of the 3G model. All we were told is that there are two different variants of the phone, one powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 and the other powered by a quad-core Hisilicon chip.

On Thursday, we finally discovered exactly what is powering the 3G version of he 6.1 inch Android powered phone. Thanks to Huawei's online store Vmall, we now know that the 3G variant of the Ascend Mate 2 is powered by a quad-core 1.6GHz Hisilicon V9R1 CPU. It might even be one of the three chips mentioned yesterday by Huawei  president Richard Yu, who also revealed his company's intention to produce a 64-bit octa-core processor later this year.

The 4G version of the Ascend Mate 2 is the model that will feature the Snapdragon 400 inside. This variant of the 6.1 inch phablet is expected to launch in global markets soon.
