'SIRIUS' expected to be the first Android powered handset from Pantech
Pantech is the most recent manufacturer to finally make the transition to Android as a recently held press conference revealed the 'SIRIUS' as being the first Android powered smartphone from Pantech. Looking to make a splash in the Korean market, the Pantech 'SIRIUS' features a 3.7” AMOLED touchscreen with a resolution of 800 x 480, Android 2.1, 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 5-megapixel auto-focus camera, HDMI port, flash support in its web browser, Wi-Fi, 500MB of internal storage, and a T-DMB tuner. It surely will raise plenty of eye brows as they're coming out of the gates with a high-end offering that'll undoubtedly be a contender – especially if it's touted as having flash support in its web browser. The handset is expected to be available by the end of April and will come in three distinct paint jobs – rose gold, titan, and white. Sure it has some jaw dropping specs, but it'd be equally more impressive if Pantech decides to aggressively make it an affordable device.
