Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Lite benchmark confirms its low-end status, GC1000 GPU
Shortly after we revealed our own Samsung Galaxy TabPRO benchmark tests, we discovered that the unannounced Galaxy Tab 3 Lite (SM-T110 / SM-T111) has been benchmarked, too. As you’d expect, the Tab 3 Lite is a far cry from the high-end TabPRO series (which includes 3 models with different screen sizes: 8-inch, 10.1-inch, and 12.2-inch).

The Tab 3 Lite was benchmarked at GFXBench, this allowing us to see that the tablet features Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, a 7-inch display with 600 x 1024 pixels, 1.2GHz processor - likely dual-core - and a GC1000 GPU (this one is made by a company called Vivante, and is also used on Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 that was released in 2013).

The graphic performance of the Tab 3 Lite is low, and it seems that the new tablet is being outperformed by smartphones like Samsung Galaxy Premier, which features a dual-core 1.5GHz TI OMAP processor with a PowerVR SGX544 GPU.

Of course, at the expected retail price of $129, the Galaxy Tab 3 Lite could still be a steal. The tablet already visited the FCC (in December), so an official announcement may come very soon. We’re not sure if Samsung will keep the Tab 3 Lite name for the new device, as it seems that two other rumored Lite Galaxies will end up being called Galaxy Grand Neo and Galaxy Note 3 Neo. So maybe in the end we’ll have a Galaxy Tab 3 Neo, or, simply, Galaxy Tab Neo? We'll let you know!
