Samsung setting aside $200 million war chest to fight Apple's legal team in 2012
After having the sales ban lifted off of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 in Australia, the Koreans got delivered another minor victory late on Friday when Apple's request for a preliminary injunction against the Galaxy line was denied in the US as well.

Samsung is pretty content with the developments, and an anonymous exec gloated in front of Korea Times that "if we win in Paris as well, that’s truly a big blow to Apple”.

Still, the final verdicts are yet to come, it will take many more months, and 2012 will be an uphill year for Samsung's legal team, as that's when the final hearings are scheduled for.

Therefore CEO Choi Gee-sung announced that the company has set aside a $200 million war chest for next year to fend off Apple's legal attacks, as smartphones and tablets have become the most lucrative business of Samsung Electronics, and its shares are hitting their peak.
