Snapchat is finally headed to Windows smartphones... maybe
The official Snapchat app that was announced for Windows Phone back in 2015 might be finally coming our way. It's been a bumpy ride, with the company pushing hard for the removal of a couple of third-party clients for the service from the Windows Store, and with Snapchat's CEO Evan Spiegel expressing some lass-than-subtle disdain toward the OS. All's well that ends well however, right?

The new information has surfaced via the official Spanish Lumia Support account on Twitter. In a response to a user asking why he cannot install Snapchat on his Windows smartphone, Lumia Support wrote:

“It will be coming soon to your Windows Phone! We are already working with our friends at Snapchat to launch it as soon as possible!”

We should keep in mind that this confirmation comes from a Twitter support account, and not the official Microsoft Blog, where there are no mentions of anything like this whatsoever. Until we hear from Microsoft or Snapchat, we'd advise you to take this new information with a grain of salt.
