If you are on the lookout for a deep and engrossing mobile game to sink your hours into, consider Space Age: A Cosmic Adventure. Brought to you by the guys that made The Incident, Space Age is set in an alternate "retro-futuristic 1976", where a team of space explorers is thrown onto a distant planet and... well, it gets pretty vague from here - "There's something both strange and familiar about this alien place..." - yep, these are the exact same words we use to describe going to a night club.

Anyway, we have to respect the developer's intent to keep the story a complete surprise, especially since Space Age is focused on its narrative, presented in "grand cinematic style, orchestrally scored, and filled with drama, humor, and nostalgia." A bold choice of words for a game that's modelled along the lines of 1990s isometric storytelling RPGs, but from what we saw, the game is quite engrossing. It's out now in the App Store, priced $3.99. We don't know whether the space dwellers will eventually land in Google Play.
