The Android Wear app and Google Play Services are the latest ones to be treated with Material Design
During the past week or so, we've been constantly reporting about a slew of Google apps that gradually got a taste of Android 5.0 Lollipop's Material Design - Google Maps, Gmail, and Calendar were treated to new looks. As the time progresses and the rollout of Android 5.0 Lollipop is almost upon us, it comes pretty close to mind that the remainder of Google apps will also get a lick from the Material Design.
The latest to do so are the dedicated Android Wear app, as well as the Google Play Services framework. The changes in both of these apps include refreshed color themes, new iconography, and a few Material Design switches here and there, there's nothing groundbreaking in the redesign of these Google apps. Still, a gradual improvement is often better than a complete overhaul, isn't it?
The Android Wear companion app, in particular, has been treated to several new features, mind you. It now allows you to take remotely take a screenshot from the paired wearable, disconnect or even "forget" it altogether. The Google Play Services framework has also been slightly redesigned, too - the Verify apps and Android Device Manager feature have been bundled together in consolidated Security menu.
