Unannounced Kyocera Rio will be an affordable touchscreen phone for Cricket
From high-end smartphones to lowly feature phones, you can expect to see touchscreen devices dominate a good majority of carrier lineups nowadays since they offer a decent navigational experience around the platform. During a recent analyst meeting, Cricket mentioned and displayed another budget friendly touchscreen phone – the unannounced Kyocera E3100 Rio. Some of its features include a 2.8” resistive touchscreen display with 240 x 320 pixels resolution, 1.3-megapixel camera, 3.5mm headset jack, stereo Bluetooth, aGPS, tri-band CDMA 1x radios, and a microSD card slot. On the software side, you can expect to find a music player, threaded SMS messaging, access to BREW-based content, and a WAP 2.0 web browser. Since this device has yet to be officially announced by Cricket, pricing and availability are still unknown – but we'd imagine for it to be affordable and easy on the budget. Who says that touchscreen phones should always be reserved for the titans out there?
