Wi-Fi bug affects Android 5.0 users

A mysterious Wi-Fi bug is affecting those using a device powered by the latest build of Google's open source OS. Reports have been coming into the developer-preview website, starting with a Nexus 5 that had trouble hooking up to a Wi-Fi signal. Since the original complaint, developers with the Nexus 5, Nexus 7, and the Nexus 9 have written in about a failed Wi-Fi connection.

This is the second major issue that has affected Android 5.0. Earlier this month, those using Wi-Fi on an Android 5.0 powered handset, experienced a major battery drain. The battery was being drained by an abnormally high number of screen wake ups that would take place when Wi-Fi was in use. Thankfully, this bug has been exterminated.

Android 5.0 is currently being pushed out to the Nexus 5, Nexus 4, Nexus 7 (2013), Nexus 7 (2012) and Nexus 10. If the Wi-Fi bug is affecting your Lollipop powered handset or tablet, drop us a comment in the box below.
