ZTE Nubia Z9 Max and Z9 mini are official: titanium frames, stylish bods

ZTE pulled off the same trick it did last year with the Z7 Nubia Max and mini, and announced a Z9 Nubia Max and a Z9 mini variant as well. The Max is a 5.5" 1080p handset with Snapdragon 810 chipset, 3 GB DDR4 memory, and 16 GB of storage plus a microSD slot. The camera duo is a 16 MP rear and 8 MP front-facing shooters.

ZTE Nubia Z9 Max throws in a Hi-Fi audio experience with 7.1 channel surround, thanks to the premium AK4375 sound processor. All of this is backed by a 2900 mAh battery pack, and stuffed in a premium titanium frame with a thin aluminum alloy casing covered with reinforced patterned glass as a back surface. The phone is running Android 5.0 with nubia UI V2.8 on top.

The Z9 mini takes it down a notch with a 5" 1080p screen, Snapdragon 615 chipset, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB of storage plus an expansion slot, but the same 16 MP and 8 MP camera combo like on the big brother. This one sports a titanium frame in its turn, too, and is powered by the same 2900 mAh battery pack.

The cherry on the top with these two is, undoubtedly, design, and the Z9 mini comes to prove it with swappable back covers in numerous textures and patterns, including wood and denim. The handsets are dual SIM devices, and will be available in black and white glass for the Nubia Z9 Max, and whatever texture you desire for the back cover of the Z9 mini. Any takers?
