First Huawei P8 camera sample appears, confirming 13 MP rear camera

The Huawei P8 announcement is fast approaching, and with it we are expecting a thin and premium handset, as always with the P-line.

The word on the street is also that it'll carry a 5.2-inch display with a 1080 x 1920 resolution, an octa-core Kirin 930 processor and 3GB of RAM, a 13-megapixel camera with a dual LED flash and optical stabilization, and 32 gigs of internal storage.

While the OIS module is hard to imagine in what would allegedly be a 6mm chassis with no protrusions on the back, the camera resolution is seemingly confirmed by the claimed first photo sample from the device. The picture is a nighttime time one, which is even better, as it lets us gauge the low-light abilities of said 13 MP shooter.

We can see some pretty decent results, and there is no light source halo that usually associates with OIS-equipped phones, but we will know for sure what's what when Huawei lifts the veil over the P8 soon.
