LG launched its G6 flagship with a FullVision screen, Samsung countered with the Galaxy S8 Infinity Display, Apple is prepping an all-screen iPhone 8 (who knows what that minimum-bezel creature will be called), so what's the world's third largest phone maker to do when faced with all that screen-to-body marketing parlance? Well, release an EntireView display, of course. That's the trademark that Huawei has filed for recently, and we can't help but wonder whether it will make a cameo on the rumored "full-screen" Mate 10 phablet (another term Huawei has filed for).
As a reminder, the phone is expected to fit a 6" QHD display in a fairly compact for this diagonal chassis, sport 10nm Kirin chipset, dual camera, and enhanced AR abilities, along with the usual bells and whistles Huawei throws in with its flagships, like copious amounts of RAM, storage, and battery capacity. The handset is said to be announced in October, and come in two versions, capitalizing on the minimum-bezel, 2:1 aspect ratio mania that is sweeping the industry.
