The first LTE phone approved by the FCC is the Samsung SCH-R900
We posted back in March about the MetroPCS's intentions to be the first with an LTE handset to match its metropolitan network deployed this year. Fast forward a few months, and the Samsung SCH-R900 has already gotten off the FCC dissection table, ready to deprive your wallets of all disposable income left.

It is a dual-mode CDMA / LTE handset, with the LTE capabilities shining on the 1700 / 1900 radio bands. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are also in there. Considering Verizon's LTE efforts, the phone will probably need a SIM card as well. Come on, future, arrive already, eh?
