... it might get boring. Wait, that's not how the old saying goes. But my ending applies better to Google's product design philosophy nowadays, which unfortunately involves a lot of repetition, very little refinement, and virtually no innovation.

Yes, the Pixel 11 Pro XL looks almost exactly the same as last year's Pixel 10 Pro XL in a set of newly leaked images that are probably 100 percent accurate (based on Android Headlines and Steve Hemmerstoffer's track record), with the only visible distinction right now being the color of the rear-facing camera bar.
This time, that seems to be black from one end to the other rather than partially matching the paint job of the rest of the phone's backplate, as on the Pixel 10 Pro XL. Although we're obviously looking at a small change here, I think the Pixel 11 Pro XL will benefit from it, gaining an extra touch of elegance and cohesion over its predecessor.
Any other changes to note?
Sadly, no. At least not yet, because while extremely reliable, these renders might not be final, which means some little details could still look different on the Pixel 11 Pro XL expected to be released at least four months down the line. Oh, and that blue colorway is not to be taken for granted just yet, only being used for illustrative purposes in the absence of any concrete inside information on that front.

The same cannot be said about the phone's dimensions, which are reportedly set in stone at 162.7 x 76.5 x 8.5mm. That's a measly 0.1mm less in both height and width, as well as the exact same thickness as the Pixel 10 Pro XL, which suggests the 6.8-inch screen size and the size of the display borders will essentially go unchanged.
What about the Pixel 11 Pro XL specs?
As you can imagine, there aren't a lot of guarantees in that department yet. But I also don't expect many big surprises either, so I'm just about ready to bet the house (that I don't own) on a 5,200mAh battery powering Google's next big Android super-flagship alongside a new and improved Tensor G6 processor.
What do you think about the Pixel 11 Pro XL's leaked design?
Big G, of course, will have a hard time retaining the 16GB RAM count and $1,200 starting price in this era of "chipflation", but while Android Headlines speculates the Pixel 11 Pro XL could downgrade the former number to 12 gigs to keep the latter figure in check, I'm not sure if I buy that theory for the time being.
Does this phone have box-office hit potential?
If it's priced competitively enough (which remains a big if) and manages to bring... something new to the table aside from a Tensor G6 chip, a slightly different-looking camera bar, and possibly some refreshed colors, why not?
