The Galaxy S26 lineup was announced less than two months ago, yet its Fan Edition variant is already making headlines on benchmark platforms. A leaked Geekbench listing has just given us the first look at the Galaxy S26 FE.
Samsung's next Fan Edition leaks online
Established leaker Abhishek Yadav spotted the Galaxy S26 FE (codename SM-S741U) appearing on the Geekbench platform. The result was published on April 3, 2026, but it was removed or made private shortly after.

The tipster captured screenshots before the listing mysteriously vanished from the Geekbench browser. From what we see, the upcoming device might not be a giant step up from the Galaxy S25 FE.

The tested device has a single-core score of 2,426 and a multi-core score of 8,004. The South Korean tech giant might also include the AMD-based Samsung Xclipse 950 GPU, with RAM listed at 6.81GB. This will likely be marketed as 8GB RAM. If true, the device will share the same RAM amount as the Galaxy S25 FE.

Back in March 2026, Smartprix discovered a GSMA listing of the upcoming Fan Edition option, though it doesn't uncover any details about its hardware. So far, this Geekbench listing is the first source of concrete specs we can expect the Galaxy S26 FE to pack.
Will it be a major upgrade over its predecessor? It's still too early to answer, though the addition of a next-gen processor could improve performance. However, if Samsung doesn't upgrade the camera or the display, both devices will feel surprisingly similar.

Hopefully, more leaks will surface in the coming weeks and months, giving us a more complete look at this Android phone.
It all boils down to this
At the end of the day, equipping devices with newer software and a more recent chip is practically a given. But it all boils down to the price.
Looking at the broader landscape, many brands (including Samsung) introduced a price bump on their latest models. The Nothing Phone (4a), for example, starts at $499, $40 more than its predecessor.
Samsung, meanwhile, introduced the Galaxy S26 and S26+ with a $100 price hike compared to the previous generation. Clearly, 2026 is the year of pricier phones, and the Galaxy S26 FE is highly unlikely to escape this trend.
The question now is just how much pricier it could be than last year's Galaxy S25 FE, which debuted at $649.99 in its base storage configuration.
